About Springboard

This blog is our way of getting better acquainted with you, providing a forum and structure for discussion and ideas. We find we have more and more to say now that we’re five years old.

Springboard Innovation is a for-social-profit 501(c)(3) headquartered in Portland, OR. Our mission is to help community members envision, design, and launch sustainable, innovative solutions to our most pressing challenges. We have four main intiatives:

(1) Local Agenda, an education program that teaches community members to envision, design, and ultimately launch social ventures.
(2) The Springboard Social Innovation Forum, gatherings in cities around the country that bring change agents together with the community.
(3) ChangeXchange, an online social investment site that invites community members to help seed fund promising social ventures.
(4) Innovative Cities, a new city-wide model for social innovation with an online tool to help cities assess their readiness for and support of social innovators in their midst.
